Our keynote speakers set the tone with two powerful presentations. Mercedes Ramirez Johnson delivered a compelling survival story, “Safety: Don’t Count on Second Chances,” reminding us of the life-or-death importance of proactive safety measures. Chris Tagoe, Senior Vice President of LyondellBasell, followed with a presentation on “The Hidden Danger of Increasing 99 acres database System Complexity in the Pursuit of Excellence,” highlighting the risks that can arise as systems grow more complex in the pursuit of operational efficiency.

Networking was a highlight of the summit, starting with our Poolside Reception on Tuesday, sponsored by OURAY. The beautiful Miami weather and relaxed atmosphere provided a great setting to connect with peers and enjoy drinks and food by the hotel pool.
On Wednesday, our CHEMTREC Signature Networking Reception energized the evening with a lively raffle and great food. Attendees enjoyed frozen margaritas, empanadas, and a variety of delicious appetizers while mingling and making valuable connections. CHEMTREC was pleased to support the National Foundation for Fallen Firefighters (NFFF) as the Charity Sponsor for the event. Thanks to the generosity of attendees and staff, over $5,405 was raised to support the families and colleagues of first responders.
