Drupal saw a drop from 2.2% to 1.9%, while Joomla saw a drop from 3.1% to 3.0%.
So far, we have introduced you to a rather interesting topic – the popularity of the WordPress content management platform , as we wanted to show what it is due to and whether there is a tendency for WordPress’ market share to continue to increase, as in the last 10 years. Since we want our clients to be familiar with the services they choose and to make rcs data turkey and well-founded decisions, we have summarized the most important information in the form of statistics to help us draw specific conclusions. It turns out that WordPress is the most preferred platform for creating websites , and it continues to attract users who make good use of all its efficiencies and advantages. When we talk about advantages, the question of competing content management platforms logically arises. How often are they chosen for creating websites? How do the statistics move in relation to their market share? Of course, these questions arise logically, and that is why we want to pay special attention to them.
That is why, within the framework of this text, we will sequentially examine competing systems to WordPress and their development over the last few years.
From 2018 to 2019, in just one year, in which WordPress's market share increased by another 1%, Joomla and Drupal saw a small decline in terms of users. Drupal's decline was from 2.2% to 1.9%, and Joomla's number of users decreased from 3.1% to 3.0%. As you already know, Joomla and Drupal are WordPress' direct competitors as preferred platforms for building websites. However, it is striking that, unlike WordPress, their market share is predominantly decreasing. They in no way threaten WordPress's leading position, but on the contrary - they give it even stronger influence and assign it the undisputed first place in all rankings and statistics. It should be noted that in terms of the annual growth of content management systems, the statistics show more visible shifts. We notice that Joomla is shrinking by 3.2% and Drupal – by 13.6% for the period from the beginning of 2018 to the present.
