How operators will begin to identify corporate subscribers from June 1

Post by Shishirgano9 »

On June 1, a new version of the Federal Law "On Communications" came into force, providing for the identification of each subscriber. If previously the mobile operator simply entered subscriber data into its databases, then in accordance with one of the new requirements of the law - to check the passport data of subscribers when connecting SIM cards in a special Interdepartmental Interaction System (SMEV) or the Unified Identification and Authentication System (ESIA). In the absence of such information, the operator is obliged to legally block the user.

Whose shoe is it?
It is no secret that some subscribers use not a personal SIM card, which uruguay phone number library they registered in their name, but a corporate one, issued by their employer. Let's take a closer look at how exactly mobile operators will identify such subscribers.

According to official reports from mobile operators, they warned their corporate clients in advance by sending them letters asking them to fill out a register of personal data on all users connected to the tariff.

Generate a registry
Thus, responsible persons from organizations that have entered into corporate communications agreements with a mobile operator must form a register with data on actual subscribers, indicating their full name, passport details and date of birth. Then this register must be sent to the communications operator and, in the event of any changes, the relevant information on users must be entered into it.

Each mobile operator sets its own procedure for submitting personal information. For example, MTS suggests entering personal data in the "Personal Account" on the website, in the mobile application or directly in the communication salon. You can also submit data by mail or with the help of a courier.

Blocked for disinformation
If the subscriber data is entered incorrectly or turns out to be deliberately false, then automatic verification with SMEV and ESIA will reveal this. In case of discrepancy, the operator will be obliged to block the number.

In the case where the company has ceased to exist, the subscriber must submit an application to transfer the number for personal use, presenting supporting documents.

Another important nuance: from June 1, all operators accept payment for corporate communications only from the current account of the legal entity to which these numbers are registered. Operators will be required to reject any other types of payment (from personal accounts or bank terminals).
