Cambridge Tests – English Proficiency Tests

As we mentioned, the test assesses four different skills that attest to your fluency or basic knowledge of the English language. Below, you can check what is required for each of the skills and guide your studies to ensure a good grade:

reading: you must answer 36 to 56 questions about academic articles. In addition, text interpretation and appropriation of statements are also assessed, and you have 60 to 80 minutes to complete this stage;
listening: here you need to listen to selected audios, usually referring to lectures and dialogues, answering 34 to 51 questions about the topics presented. For this, you have 60 to 90 minutes available;
speaking: unlike IELTS, at this stage you telegram data need to talk to someone on the other side of the screen or express your opinion about other parts of the test within a period of 20 minutes;
writing: to conclude, it is necessary to write an argumentative text on the topic presented in a maximum of 50 minutes. In addition, some listening and reading questions may appear in the essay format.
It is also worth remembering that it is essential that you have knowledge of other accents, since the TOEFL is a test that can include the language of the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia and Canada, in addition to American English, in its audio.
