How to do a good Keyword Research?
In the world of SEO, the biggest fear, which grips both professionals and beginners, is the penalty from Google that will suddenly cause the visits to the site to collapse and regret the hours spent on that project.

In fact, I believe that if Mr. Google were to really push me to the bottom of the rankings, it will be because I have used some unfair practices or because my content is not as interesting to users as I thought.

To do things well and get concrete results without fearing any update I recommend you start from two aspects that I believe are the basis for every SEO project: the technical part and the strategic analysis part. For this second aspect I wanted to interview today on my blog Alvise Canal , who recently published his book “Advanced Keyword Russia Phone Numbers Research” , to ask him some specific questions on the topic.

Why is it necessary to start from market analysis?
In 90% of online projects, you come across situations where the site has been published online without any previous keyword research and query analysis, which leads to more or less serious pain.

Keyword research and study are a tool that allows you to really make a difference on Google but, precisely because of its complexity and importance, it should be done correctly and with the right timing.

An analysis of queries and keywords carried out during the market analysis allows you to obtain a lot of information that will then be useful for developing the business plan and the entire SEO strategy. From keyword research, in fact, a consultant can extract several interesting data about the market.

The first, most logical, is obviously the quantitative one . During the keyword researching phase we get the average search volumes of the words, so we know how often users search for certain services, products or information. This allows us to understand if there is a sufficiently high demand to allow us a sufficient number of sales to reach our business objectives.

This data is also very useful for those who do affiliate marketing . Through the average monthly search volume it is possible to make some projections to understand how much you could earn through the sponsorship of certain products.

Among the most interesting data are certainly the qualitative ones, that is, those that allow us to understand certain specifics of the market with respect to the product/service that we or our client want to sell/offer.

The most important is the competitiveness of the sector .

Leaving aside the parameters that various tools use to indicate the difficulty of positioning for a specific keyword, by studying the SERP we can understand who our competitors are , look at the quality of their sites and draw our own assessments regarding the real difficulty we have to face to compete on those queries.

If we run a small business with a very limited budget, perhaps without the possibility of starting link building campaigns, it becomes senseless to compete for queries dominated by industry leaders. As I wrote in my book, however, we can always use keyword research to identify more uncovered market niches or specific micro-product categories that can allow us to obtain good results in terms of sales.

In short, during the market analysis we are able to understand whether our project is feasible or not and, if it is, we already have the first data available to understand how to realize it.

How can you integrate keyword research into a marketing plan?
This question is closely related to the previous one.

Through all the data obtained from the market, sector and competitor analysis we can develop a truly effective marketing plan.

First of all, we know which tools to use to promote our service/product. If the keyword research has highlighted a product category with a high search volume, we know that the searches fall within what is generally considered informed demand , ergo our main acquisition channels should be SEO and Google ADS.
