Mobilegeddon: mobile first
When most of us already had a smartphone in our america cell phone number list pocket, Google released the most difficult algorithm to pronounce. In 2015, the search engine began to focus on responsive websites, which were displayed correctly on any device, prioritizing mobile usability over design.
All of these parameters are here to stay, evolving to this day to further refine searches and direct users to fast, usable and secure websites, with relevant information to meet their needs.
The latest Google algorithm updates
Google's last core update came in December 2020 and was one of the largest updates ever implemented by the company.
The algorithm penalized websites with longer domain names and also affected some websites based on their subject matter. In this case, the big losers were real estate agencies and travel websites; while pages related to business, industry, telecommunications, sports and online communities occupied the podium of the winners. Through this classification so 'Covid year', we see that Google is not only trying to connect with each one of us, but with the needs and concerns of society in general.
The next update is scheduled for release in June of this year and as a preview we can tell you that Google will continue to reward fast websites that improve the user experience.
