If your reward system is so complex that users need a long guide to understand it, you will never get satisfactory results from gamification. Instead of creating a large and complex gamified environment, it is better to break the game down into a series of small activities that visitors can learn gradually. Give players the knowledge they absolutely must have to advance to the next level.
