We're just getting started, but soon you'll be able to add a party or meetup directly on Google Maps . In the meantime, Google tells us how to create public events directly on its maps.
The news was published a few hours ago by Android Police who discovered how Google is giving some Android users the ability to create public events.
To see if our Android device has also been enabled, just go to the Contribute tab and you immediately have the option to create a party, meeting or other public meeting, complete with optional descriptions, categories and links .
Android Police had to wait about an hour for an uploaded event to bulgaria business directory be made public, and while the data was uploading there were issues adding photos outside of the event header.
Of course, everything is still under development and as always, Google, in its beta phases, does not give all its users, but even specific geographic areas, the possibility of doing everything that, instead, in other areas of America, can be done easily.
Add a public event with the Google Maps APP
As we were saying, just a few hours ago Google released a new documentation on the Google Maps Help site where in a simple and detailed page, it explains how to add a public event through the Google Maps Android application.
From what we can gather from these early visualizations, the new integration looks like a combination of Local Guide level and location that could allow users to present events similar to the public events shown in Maps.
We wrote a few months ago about how Maps relied heavily on information from the public, such as the ability to chat with businesses with Google Maps , and that's why adding another tool for the public to take note of public events would be consistent with the path we've been on for some time.
The new option appears in two places: in the main “contribute” tab of the “your contributions” section, and in a new “events” tab of the same section.
