Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is a web analytics tool that website operators and advertisers can use to gain valuable insights into the performance of their website and user behavior. It is the successor version of Google Universal Analytics, which will stop collecting new data on July 1, 2023, and provides detailed information on how visitors interact with a website. It also enables data-driven decisions to be made to optimize online presences. Basically, Google Analytics is the standard in online tracking in Germany, with a market share of just over 50%. Although the switchover is imminent, many websites have not yet switched from Google Universal Analytics to Google Analytics 4. We are currently working on a study to quantify how many German websites have not yet switched.

Google Analytics 4 – like its predecessor – offers several important functions that enable effective analysis and interpretation of website data:

real-time monitoring
analysis of user behavior
conversion tracking
e-commerce tracking
Additionally, it offers various reports, visualizations, and france whatsapp phone number customization options to present data in a clear and actionable way. These insights enable website owners to make informed decisions, improve user experience, optimize marketing strategies, and ultimately achieve better results from their advertising campaigns.
