Golden premiere: On 5 December 2017, we held an award for the first time to honour the best B2B events in Austria.
Our goal? To give successful event management in the industry and B2B sector the shine it deserves. In the course of a celebratory gala night, the winners were of our first EVA Award at the Palais Todesco of the Gerstner Salons Privés.
THESE ARE THE WINNERS OF THE EVA EVENT AWARDS 2017
Around 50 creative events were submitted in 6 categories and 4 special categories.
In the supreme discipline, "B2B events", Kreisel Electric won first place together with Eventwerkstatt, Ilk & Partner KG and Muse Communication for the opening of the Kreisel Electric headquarters, canada telegram with the participation of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Christian Kern, among others.
The "BUWOG Employee Event 2017" was awarded "Best Employee Event", the "Best Product Presentation" went to Nespresso Austria together with Kesch Event GmbH for the "Night of Exclusive Delights". The Finnish lift specialist KONE AG impressed with its customer event "The game has changed", while the "Best Trade Fair Presentation" went to Alicona Imaging GmbH at Control Stuttgart.
The "Franzl Design Award" was even doubly successful among the special prizes - in addition to the "Best Newcomer Event", Mag. Karin Kernmayer-Farr was also able to secure the award for the "Best Social Media Campaign". Fridi Nefe and Almuth Bene, who created an event for BHS Corrugated GmbH at the Odeon Theatre in Vienna, won the award for Best Location. Nespresso Austria ("Atelier Nespresso") scored with the best catering and the best content concept was submitted by Frauscher Sensorentechnik with their "Wheel Detection Forum".
The matrix of uncertainty that currently accompanies B2C advertisers consists of many elements: Ad fraud, lack of control over one's own brand when using programmatic advertising, a dulling of consumers towards many online forms of advertising, the question of whether the advertising vehicle Facebook really always drives campaigns to the target and sometimes not also to the wall. Koch is convinced that B2B advertisers are at least largely exempt from such worries: "They have always had it easier than their B2C colleagues. They have always known their customers," says Koch. For him, the B2B market is almost reincarnation-relevant, he jokes: "Should I be born again as a media planner, I'd like to look after even more B2B clients than I've already had the pleasure of doing in this life." Trade media would ultimately also make the job of B2B advertisers easier because they automatically reach the decision-maker in the right situation: "The right situation is probably the one in which people are ready to engage with a product, a brand. This is exactly what we find when decision-makers go to the website of a specialised medium. They are looking for a solution to their problem. And they fervently hope to find the decisive impulse here," says Koch.
