During the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, the largest electronics event in the world, Rick Osterloh, chief operating officer of Motorola, announced the end of its mobile device brand, which will be gradually replaced by the name “Moto” while maintaining the emblematic “M” icon.
In 2014, Lenovo purchased the Motorola smartphone division for around 2.91 billion dollars, and is now beginning the process of unifying the device brand to “Moto by Lenovo”, aiming for a prominent mexico whatsapp list in the mobile device market as a marketing strategy.
Keeping in mind the brand's tradition, Motorola has launched models of devices that have enjoyed great success throughout its history, including the Startac, Razr and finally the Moto. The best-selling model was the Razr V3 until it was surpassed in 2013 by the Moto G, which is now in its third generation.
