On April 7, 2014, Runet celebrated its 20th anniversary. All involved individuals and organizations were preparing for the landmark event — numerous conferences, exhibitions, and special projects were timed to coincide with the anniversary. theRunet has prepared and over the past few months published interviews with people who created Runet in the mid-90s and continue to develop it today.

The heroes of these conversations were 16 people - from the first Russian-language blogger and media manager Anton Nosik, e-commerce pioneer Arkady Moreinis and former editor-in-chief of the largest online media in Russia Galina Timchenko to the heads of the main domestic Internet companies: Yandex, Yota, Parallels, Acronis.
