Updating or refreshing content as part of your SEO strategy is a very effective tactic, in fact, it should be one of the keys to any content strategy.

In general, the main consequence is that the results of visits improve, the number of visits to websites due to stagnant content increases, and it also allows us to correct errors and update content that, over time, has become outdated.

Tips for refreshing blog content
Start by doing in-depth keyword research, looking for new terms that are related to the content of the text and that you did not include in the first version.
Fill in the information your users need. Use comments and information from other blogs and fill in the topics you didn't cover previously.
Don't forget multimedia content. Perhaps, when you first wrote the post you didn't think about adding images or videos, now may be the time to add multimedia content, which is increasingly appreciated by Google.
Don't set limits for yourself. As you know, Google doesn't set maximum or minimum limits when it comes to ranking texts, so write whatever you want to add.
Don't change the URLs, if you do, don't forget to do a 301 redirect from the old URL to the new one, otherwise you will be losing the authority inherited until now.
Redefine the titles and change those that are not contributing instagram database to the SEO of the entry.
Check the links, there may be a broken one, and add the links you need to complete the information.
Update VS evergreen content
In addition to technical SEO issues, refreshing content helps us update information that has become outdated, or add new information to our posts. However, there are texts that, no matter how much time passes, will always be helpful; these are called evergreen content.

Is it worth updating evergreen content? Yes, always. Imagine, for example, a text titled “things to see in Segovia.” This post can be valid for years without its content becoming outdated. However, it can be helpful to add more information, suggest more places, update prices, schedules, etc.

The bottom line is that even evergreen content needs to be updated periodically to help rank higher.

Select content to update
It really depends on you, any updated content will be welcome, in posts that have not received the visits you expected, new content can give a boost to visits, while in your most popular posts, updating their content can multiply their visits.
