However, they are not the only ones implementing authentication. About four months ago, we were approached by a company that teaches English and uses its own interactive platform. It can be accessed through a website and an app, and the company decided to implement a two-factor authentication system for users.

One of the main reasons was that if clients do not use a login and password, the database with them cannot be "leaked" into open access. The company wanted to protect itself in advance from reputational and financial losses that its competitors had recently suffered.

Finding a solution
We offered the company several options for authentication systems:

Password SMS. In this case, the user receives an SMS message and enters it on the website or in the application. As a rule, the message arrives in 5 seconds, less often - in 1-2 minutes, and if necessary, it can be requested again.
Password Call. Works similarly, but the number is announced to the user by a voice robot out loud, over the phone.
Flash Call. In this case, the user receives a call from a unique number, and its last digits are the code.
Call Confirmation. The user receives a call and a voice robot asks to press a certain number on the smartphone. After this action is completed, authorization occurs.
All four methods could be combined: for example, first sending an SMS to the user, and then, if it did not arrive, making a call.

The company's management decided to implement Confirmation Call. This is the most reliable and user-friendly option: calls are faster than SMS and cannot end up in spam, and the code does not need to be remembered and entered in the application.

The implementation of the system took one working day. After that, the service users were able to use it.
