In my series “ Communicating Ethically” , I go to meet other communication professionals who share my vision and work to make this field more ethical , authentic and eco-responsible. Today, I went to chat with Jérémie, a green audiovisual producer.

After a career as a sound engineer, 10 years of traveling around the world and volunteering in NGOs, Jérémie opened his company to support positive impact organizations in creating green and fair audiovisual content. Meet us!

From sound engineer to green audiovisual producer
Hello Jérémie! Thank you for accepting my invitation for this interview. I am very happy to be able to share this moment with you. Before we get to the heart of the matter, could you introduce yourself to the people who are reading us?

Hi Clémentine! My name is Jérémie, I'm 34 years old, I'm from Bordeaux and I've been what you could call a "Digital Nomad" for 10 years. To be honest, I don't really like this term. I find it too connoted "round the world traveler", where you go from country to country in 3 weeks without really lingering. This is not my way of traveling. With my partner, we have been traveling the world for 10 years. And we do it very slowly, mainly in a van. We really take the time to go and meet people on site, to soak up the locals.

I am a trained sound engineer. I continued my activity canada whatsapp mobile phone number list during my years of travel. But the more time went by, the less I found myself in my job. During our expeditions, I did a lot of volunteer work for NGOs. I quickly realized that these structures had a real need for audiovisual communication to make their project known. However, this is not often their priority. So, I put my skills at their service to offer them green audiovisual content.

2 years ago, I had the opportunity to launch myself as a photographer and videographer for a big project. I have been truly 100% on my activity for only 1 year.

Congratulations on your launch, Jérémie! When you talk about your activity, you choose the term “green & fair” audiovisual, can you explain to us what this means to you?

It's funny that you ask me, because I wonder about this. It's obvious to me, though, I don't always know how to explain it. So let's try!

Audiovisual brings together all my skills: photography, video and sound.

The term "green" refers to the environment and respect for human and wildlife. My work process is guaranteed to be eco-responsible, with a thoughtful approach.

The word "fair" refers to human exchange. There are not many of us on my audiovisual projects. It's just me and my teammate. There is no intermediary between the client and me. I can't do anything without the intervention of my client and all my work is based on exchange.
