How to make a brochure in Indesign

What is a brochure?
Brochures are a widely used marketing tool by most businesses. Also known as leaflets, brochures are a type of leaflet. They are mostly used in advertising to announce new or soft launches, price promotions, introduce new products or services, and similar things.

Brochures are often distributed privately in shopping malls and other public places such as train and bus stations. They can also be sent by mail or placed on brochure racks in establishments.

This is how to make a brochure.
Step 1: Download InDesign
You'll need the InDesign software on your desktop or laptop. If you don't have it, download it from the web. Once you have it, double-click the icon and it will open to start your project.

Step 2: Start a new project
On the right side of the window, Create New > From Template - will open Contents > Brochure .



Step 3: Select the desired template.
Check the provided sample and you will see the details on the overseas chinese in europe data right side of the window. Select the template that has the number of pages you want in your brochure. If you choose the standard size of 8” x 11”, please note that the pages will be split into two. As you scroll down, the next page will also be split. The template has temporary words as a guide. Double click on the box to edit.

Tip: Use the View option to add frames and guides while working on your project, which will make your editing easier.

Step 4: Customize the template
To change the font size and style, go to the right pane of the window. In the toolbar, select Paragraph Style, edit, and click anywhere outside the box to accept the changes.

Step 5: Add images
To insert a picture, click the picture you want to replace. Delete it and replace it with the picture you selected. To delete, press Delete on your keyboard and Ctrl + V. To paste an image copied from the web. To select an image from your library, go to File > Places in the menu bar or Ctrl + D. It will open to your library. You can paste it or just drag and drop it. Resize it accordingly. Change the text box and the remaining images. Continue repeating this process until you finish your project.



Step 6: Review your brochure
Once your brochure is complete, double-check your work to make sure everything looks good. Look for errors, check spelling and grammar, and make sure there are adequate margins and spacing.

Step 7: Print your brochure
To print, just go to File > Print - this will open the print options window. Check your printer for the paper type you are using, mark it Print, go to your printer, grab the printed sheet, and insert it back into your printer. Repeat this step for the remaining copies.

Tip: Test print a page to reduce errors.



Step 8: Fold your brochure.
Fold the brochure in half lengthwise. You should have four pages. If you want a fresh new design, you can start with Blank and fill in the pages as needed.
