In this interview with SEO expert Lukasz Zelezny, you'll find tips and advice on how to take advantage of advanced filtering and segmentation, Share of Voice, and other new features in AccuRanker 2.0.

What are the most important factors in page optimization in 2018?
Different SEO practitioners tend to have different opinions on what really matters when it comes to search engine optimization, especially since the algorithms behind search engines change regularly. Some may disagree with me on this, but I think there are a few factors you shouldn’t overlook in 2018.

Mobile-friendliness is at the top of the list. Google’s own Page Speed helps you understand whether your site is performing well enough in terms of performance and mobile-friendliness. Search engines are now increasingly rewarding mobile-friendly sites.

Another important factor when optimizing your page is the length of your content. While shorter content is considered more readable, it’s no secret that longer articles — around 1,000 to 2,000 words — rank better. Users also engage better with longer content, which brings me to the next factor: user engagement.

The amount of time visitors spend on georgia mobile phone numbers database your page and the bounce rate are important metrics to track. The higher the time on page, the better your page will perform from an SEO perspective. Conversely, for maximum SEO performance, you want a low bounce rate.

Another thing I find important is errors and warnings. Removing these from the page can greatly affect SEO performance. Luckily, there are tools like SEMRush and DeepCrawl that make it easy to detect and fix errors and warnings.

How are you experiencing the new AccuRanker 2.0?
AccuRanker 2.0 is a worthwhile SEO tool to use. For starters, it has a very good user experience (UX) for an SEO tool. You don’t feel like you’re using a technical tool, but you still get all the information you need to really understand your site’s SEO performance.

It’s really fast, and the data visualization done by AccuRanker is arguably the best on the market right now. You don’t have to dig deep or read long lists of data to understand the important metrics. I also like how smooth it is to use. It feels like you’re using a local machine-based software.

There is also a comprehensive reporting system. Simply amazing.

Why is Share of Voice important for understanding your SEO competition?
Relying solely on average position is not enough because this approach does not paint a clear enough picture. On the other hand, an approach called Share of Voice or Traffic Index uses metrics such as simplified organic CTR distribution, position and search volume to paint the detailed picture we need.

Additionally, in many cases there is a strong correlation between actual organic traffic and Share of Voice, close to 1.

This is a method I’ve used for years and continue to use today. Platforms like Sistrix and Searchmetrics are also adding Share of Voice to their ecosystem (they may call this metric differently).

How did advanced filtering and segmentation help you organize your data?
This is very important. SEO can no longer be seen as something you do for the entire site. It doesn’t work that way. Pages, products, categories, and even content groups often require different strategies in terms of SEO.

The best way to understand these different parts of the site and how they perform is to collect and analyze detailed data from the very beginning. Filters and segmentation are indispensable tools to help understand the different parts of a site and how each should be addressed.

How grouping keyword data with Tag Cloud and Landing Page functions helps you measure the impact of your SEO Strategy
Visualization is probably the biggest advantage. There’s no need to pivot data or do complicated operations. You can see what you want to understand right away, meaning you can focus on fine-tuning your strategy or approach quicker than ever before.

You also get much more insight by grouping by landing page . In addition to keyword data, you can quickly understand changes in organic search traffic, see rankings for different keywords, and get traffic estimates all at once.

Do you have any tips you would like to share with other AccuRanker users?
AccuRanker lets you do a lot of things without the usual complications. That’s a great start and already a plus. The current features also allow you to take things a step further and there are actually quite a few things you can do.

First of all, you want to prioritize keywords that rank in the top 20. These are the keywords you need to work on the most, and AccuRanker does that for you.

Diversify! As I mentioned before, SEO can no longer be viewed as a blanket strategy. You can’t expect one SEO strategy to work for your entire site. Now is the time to start looking at different pages and fine-tuning how they are optimized to achieve better positions.

You also want to pay attention to your internal linking structure. Having a clear hierarchy is something that many SEO practitioners still neglect, unfortunately. Have a clear structure, create a healthy sitemap, and learn when to use rel="nofollow"

Performance is another area that needs to be worked on, especially in 2018. You can use GTMetrix to measure the effectiveness of the optimization work you do on your site. For WordPress users, you can try plugins like Autoptimize, WP Smush or Hummingbird to get the best performance from your site.

Finally, use grouping and segmentation to your advantage. Optimize per URL or landing page rather than keyword. You’ll be amazed at how effective your optimization can be when you start using this approach as part of your SEO efforts.
