3. Focus on what works, improve what doesn't
Again, it sounds logical to focus on what works and improve what doesn't. But this is where it often goes wrong. A waste of energy, time and money if you focus on channels that do little for your results.

Start with what is going well. Can you scale this up? For example, does it appear that your lead-to-sale ratios from Facebook are high and there is still room for improvement? Then shift budget from other, less successful channels and invest more in Facebook. Are you already getting the most out of it and is there no more room for improvement? Then look at other possibilities within Facebook. Are there advertising formats that you have not yet tested? Can you work with more different visuals? Discover how to get the most out of an already successful channel, until you do not get any extra return from it. Then you can look at other channels that have a lot in common with Facebook, for example, to test whether you achieve similar results with them.

Note: When you identify good and bad channels, identify the right errors – and therefore the source of the error. For example, did a marketing campaign flop because the strategy was wrong or because the landing page did not convert enough?

4. Work on a culture where making mistakes is allowed
Mistakes often occur during innovation, because malaysia telegram data there is often simply no process to follow. With digital marketing, we are in fact continuously innovating. We try out new channels, discover new skills and have to deal with the changing (online) consumer. So accept that it is normal to make mistakes. The advantage of working iteratively is that you reduce the chance of major mistakes.

It is important to learn from mistakes . Not by blaming others, but by finding out together what happened. To do this, work on a healthy feedback culture in your company. Create the space and opportunities to easily give each other feedback and to make adjustments, even when things are going well. Your KPIs and good reporting help with this.

5. Plan ahead and set priorities
Although patience is a virtue, you cannot wait forever for success. Put a time frame on your plans and determine when you want to analyze the first results. At that moment, you decide whether your approach was the right one or not and you move on. If you have multiple plans and experiments running, it is important to set good priorities. This can sometimes be difficult, especially if everything seems equally important. This framework helps you to divide activities into Must do , Nice to have and Won't do . Everything that is labeled as important and urgent deserves your full attention. Everything that is not urgent and important should be planned. Everything that is not important and urgent should be tried to be phased out. And finally, everything that is not urgent and not important should be immediately removed from your activities.
